My name's Winnie. I am a First Nations Liaison Officer and love to share storytelling with my community.

Winnie is a First Nations Liaison Officer in ACT Policing and a trusted friend to Constable Kenny Koala and his community. As a proud wedge-tailed eagle, she brings warmth, wisdom and cultural strength to every interaction, helping children and families feel safe, respected and supported.

Winnie, inspired by the Australian wedge-tailed eagle, embodies strength, care, and perspective. She is closely connected to culture, community, and Country, leading with compassion and respect through strong relationships. Winnie the wedge-tail eagle

Recognised for her nurturing spirit and calm presence, Winnie serves as a role model, fostering understanding and kindness in young people. Her approachable nature and playful humour make it easy for children and families to relate to her, as she celebrates culture through storytelling and dance.

Raised in the bush with strong cultural traditions, Winnie naturally brings people together and values community. Her dedication to service led her to become a First Nations Liaison Officer, where she champions mutual respect and the wisdom of Elders.

Outside work, Winnie enjoys basket weaving, sharing cultural stories, and supporting the Canberra Raiders. She helps children and families feel supported, building trust in challenging situations and teaching important life lessons in accessible ways.

Winnie strengthens bonds between families and police, introducing officers like Constable Kenny Koala as trusted helpers and facilitating positive community engagement. She also helps families access services with less stress and inspires children to become future leaders.

When Winnie soars above Ngunnawal Country, she symbolises care, guidance, and protection for all.
