My name's Wesley. I am a First Nations Liaison Officer and I love being out on Country.

Wesley is a wise and welcoming wedge-tailed eagle who helps young people learn about respect, responsibility and strong community connections. As a First Nations Liaison Officer in ACT Policing and a friend of Constable Kenny Koala, he brings guidance, cultural knowledge and care to every conversation.

Deeply connected to culture, community and Country, Wesley is calm, approachable and thoughtful, with a cheeky sense of humour that helps children and families feel at ease. Through stories and conversation, he encourages positive choices and makes important lessons easy to understand.

Inspired by the impact of bushfires on people, animals and the environment, Wesley is passionate about caring for others and the world we share. With deep brown feathers and golden highlights, he represents strength, unity and protection across Ngunnawal Country.

Wesley represents guidance, care and connection, helping young people feel supported, valued and inspired to make positive choices.

Wise, courageous and fair, Wesley encourages young people to think carefully, do what is right and care for Elders, family, community, law and Country. He is strong, nurturing and engaging, using humour and stories to guide and support others.

Through storytelling, conversation and positive role modelling, Wesley helps young people build confidence, understand their rights and responsibilities, and see themselves as leaders in their community and on Country. He also helps strengthen trust between police, children and families.
