The Constable Kenny Koala program is all about ensuring children in our community Stay OK by increasing their awareness of the importance of safety, and the dangers of not staying safe. This is primarily achieved through direct engagement with children through school presentations.

Stay OK on the ROAD: Road safety

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: Available for all age groups

Themes covered:
using safety equipment including seatbelts and helmets
safe behaviours walking or riding on or near roads
road rules for the car and road.

Stay OK in the COMMUNITY: Protective behaviours

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: Available for all age groups

Themes covered:
how to keep yourself safe
dealing with strangers
who to speak to if you get into trouble or feel unsafe.

Stay OK online: Cyber safety (via ThinkUKnow)

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: available for Kindergarten - Year Two.

Themes covered:
What the internet is
online safety
importance of parent/carer supervision
identify adults who can help if something goes wrong.

Stay OK every day: Decision making and consequences

Duration: 30 minute presentation
Age groups: available for Kindergarten - Year Four

thinking about every day choices
immediate consequences of actions/decisions
how actions can affect others and themselves.

Stay OK for LIFE: Decision making and consequences

Duration: 45 minute presentation
Age groups: available for years five and six

Themes covered:
thinking about consequences before acting
immediate and long term consequences of actions/decisions
how actions affect others.
